SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Playing in San Antonio, TX, the Western New Mexico University Women's Tennis would play against St. Mary's and Our Lady of the Lake University. The Mustangs would fall 7-0 to St. Mary's and Our Lady of the Lake 4-3.

MATCH ONE vs ST. MARYS

St. Mary got the early lead, winning the doubles point. At No.3 doubles Massiel Paredes (Lima, Peru/Pamer HS) and Willemijn Van Meirlo would fall 6-1. The No.1 spot Kajsa Gedlitscka and Caini Wang (New Taipei City, Taiwan/Taipei Municipal Nangang Vocational High School) would lose 6-1. Playing at the No. 2 spot Livia Leite (Cunha-SP, Brazil/Bernardino Querido,) and Jenny Larsson (Stockholm, Sweden) would lose a close battle 6-4. 

In singles No. 1 Van Meirlo fell 6-0, 6-0. Larsson playing at the No. 2 spot would be the next to lose 6-0, 6-3. No. 3 Leite lost 6-2, 6-3. In the No. 6 spot, Gedlitscka kept it close before losing 6-2, 6-4. No. 4 Wang fell 7-6 (7-5), 6-3. Mann Ning-Li held the No. 5 spot for the Mustangs and would lose a close battle 7-5, 2-6, 0-1 (10-4).

MATCH TWO vs OUR LADY OF THE LAKE

The Mustangs would claim the double taking it 2-1. No. Larsson and Leite would win 6-0. No. 3 Li and Paredes would follow with another 6-0 win. No. 1 Gedlitschka and Wang's match would go unfinished.

As for singles No. 2 Leite would win her match 6-3, 6-1. No. 5 Gedlitschka would also be victorious, winning 7-5, 6-1. 

No.1 Larrson would fall 6-0, 6-5. No. 3 Wang would lose her match as well, 6-3, 6-0. Also losing her match was No. 6 Paredes 6-4, 6-2, 6-2. The final loss was record by No. 4 Li, 6-3, 7-6, 4-1.

The Mustangs end their season at 6-11.
