LOS LUNAS, N.M. - Saturday was day two of the South Central Regional Softball Tournament. The Mustangs had a tough day losing in both games. CSU Pueblo took the win in the morning 12-3 and Fort Lewis won 5-3. The Mustangs fall to (1-2) on the season.

GAME TWO
Laryssa Morales (Vail, AZ/Cienega High School) found herself in the leadoff spot this evening and it paid dividends. Morales hit a two-run shot in the 5th inning. Morales ended the night 1-for-3 with two RBI.
The Mustangs started Kamyrnn Cardova, who went on to pitch a complete game in the loss. She went 7.0 innings, had five earned runs, off 10 hits, and seven strikeouts.
The Mustangs jumped on the board first with a Jordyn Ayala (Tempe, AZ/McClintock HS) RBI single.
In the 3rd inning, FLC woke up the bats, putting up four runs. An RBI single, followed up by a three-run home run by Catheryn Rodman. In the 4th inning, FLC extended their lead with a solo shot.
Morales cut the lead in half (5-3) with her two-run home run but could not continue with the momentum.
The Skyhawks starting pitcher, Amiee Shanks, who also threw a complete game. She went 7.0 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 4 K and 1 BB.Â
