SILVER CITY, N.M. – The Western New Mexico University volleyball team faced off against Texas Woman's University today at noon. TWU would take the dub to WNMU, winning the first three sets 3-0.

Jazmyne Walker (Las Vegas, NV/Legacy HS) led the team in kills as she powered through with 9 in total. Letícia Correa looked strong as she led the team with 16 assists and came off the floor with 6 digs. She combined a total of 18 digs in today's matchup along with leader
Lilouann Bechec (Cannes, France) who had 7 digs and
Janey Cortez (El Paso, TX/East Lake HS) who also added 5 digs.
Cortez and Correa also helped the mustangs lead in blocks, combining for 5 in total along with
Carley Deck (Tucson, AZ/Tanque Verde HS) who had two of her own.
Only one ace was made in this matchup, which came from Bechec.
TWU would take set one from the mustangs after a 9 point deficit and making a comeback, but ending it at 18-25.
WNMU 0, TWU 1.
Texas Woman's breezed through set two as they took the victory by a distinct margin of 14-25.
WNMU 0, TWU 2.
Starting off set three tied at 6-6, the mustangs would later go on a point losing streak and finish the last set at 13-25.
WNMU 0, TWU 3.
