Silver City, NM- Saturday evening, the Western New Mexico University Women's Basketball team went head-to-head against Angelo State University, in a 54-50 loss.

Eliza Joynes (Adelaide, South Australia/Henley Sports Academy) lead the Mustangs with 12 points and 6 rebounds.
Kyra Paniora (Queensland, Australia) added 8 points for the night.

The Mustangs would use their defense to their advantage. Pushing the ball looking ahead to find their open teammate. Mustangs would have back-to-back fast breaks allowing them to get the easy baskets.

Turnovers would be a crucial factor for both teams tonight. WNMU would capitalize on ASU 16 turnovers scoring 10 points from their errors. WNMU ended with 19 allowing ASU to gain 10 extra points.
