San Antonio, TX- Western New Mexico University Women's Basketball team goes into double overtime this Thursday evening against St. Mary's University. Going basket for basket all game St. Mary's would look to pull away with a final score of 76-73.

Sydney Wright (Houston, Texas/Henley High School) would look to lead the Mustangs offense with 19 points.
Eliza Joynes (Adelaide, South Australia/Henley Sports Academy) would add 10 points, shooting 5-8 from the field. Mustangs would look to find each other allowing scoring across the board.

Points in the paint would look to be an advantage for the Mustangs this game scoring 36 in the paint compared to 24 for the Rattlers. WNMU would keep it close and outscore the Rattlers in quarters one, two, and three but come up short in the fourth sending them into their first overtime. OT 1 would end with a score of 66-66 sending them into another overtime. StMU would then outscore the Mustangs 7-10 in OT 2.

Rattlers would have multiple girls in double digits to end the night. Gabby Elliott would lead their offense with 20 points shooting 8-12 from the field. Mustangs would fight to come back from behind but ultimately come up short.

Mustangs will be back on the road traveling to Austin, TX to face St. Edwards University at 12:00 PM MT.
