Austin, TX- The Mustangs matched up against St. Edwards this Saturday afternoon. The hilltoppers would pull away in the fourth quarter with a final score of 64-57.
 
Diamond Moore (Colorado Springs, CO/Harrison High School) would lead the Mustangs offense ending the game with a double-double. Moore was a crucial from the inside having 19 points and 11 rebounds shooting 8-13 from the field. Brooke Rodgers (Phoenix, Arizona/Cactus Shadows High School) added 10 points for the Mustangs.
 
From the jump both teams struggle taking care of the ball forcing back-to-back turnovers. St. Edwards would go into halftime with 10 turnovers while the Mustangs have 9. Mustangs have had the upper hand advantage shooting 80% from the three while the Hilltoppers are 33.3%. Mustang's lead going into half time 31-27.
 
Mustangs coming out of halftime would be getting open looks but the shots would not be falling in their favor. SEU would outscore the Mustangs in the second half with a score of 22-14 in the third and 15-12 in the fourth.
 
Mustangs will be back home December 17^th at 2:00 PM MT looking to defeat opponent University of Texas at Tyler.
