Silver City, NM – WNMU Women's Basketball gets another win on their home court. The Mustangs defeated Northern New Mexico College on Drags Court 72-55.
Brooke Rodgers (Phoenix, Arizona/Cactus Shadows High School) and
Eliza Joynes (Adelaide, South Australia/Henley Sports Academy) led the Mustang offense with 14 points. Rodgers would grab 16 boards while Joynes ended with 4.
Diamond Moore (Colorado Springs, CO/Harrison High School) would also contribute to WNMUs offense finishing with 13.
Bria Reed (Houston, TX/Clear Creek High School) added 10 for the Mustangs.
Three-point shooting would keep Northern N.M in the game up until the fourth quarter. Paulina Lopez, Cervantes would go 4-4 from the three-point line. The fourth quarter Mustangs came out playing hard defense holding NNMC to 18 points versus their 26.
Mustangs all game looked to work the ball inside and get easy buckets, finishing the night with 50 points in the paint. Mustangs went 12-19 from the free-throw line taking advantage of those extra points.

st in San Antonio, TX where they take on St. Mary's University at 4:30 PM MT.
