Silver City, NM- The lady Mustangs had a phenomenal afternoon against SAGU American Indians. WNMU defeated the Warriors 116-47. Having six out of the nine players scoring double digits and four of the Mustangs having double-doubles. "We shared the ball really well and being aggressive offensively has been an emphasis for us." Pace concluded. Shooting impressive numbers tonight being 56.3% from the field, 42.3% from the three and 88.2% from the free-throw line.

From the jump Mustangs came out playing aggressive defense looking to get their opponents flustered. Mustangs forcing 15 turnovers for the game and ending with seven steals. Offense was in the Mustangs favor tonight.
Sydney Wright (Houston, Texas/Henley High School) had the hot hand for the Mustangs ending the game with 26 points and shooting 60% from the three-point line. Wright made it very difficult for the Warriors to find a way back into the game as she was unstoppable from behind the arch.
Diamond Moore (Colorado Springs, CO/Harrison High School) and
Eliza Joynes (Adelaide, South Australia/Henley Sports Academy) were a strong duo in the paint, Moore ending with 19 points and 10 rebound and Joynes with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Brooke Rodgers (Phoenix, Arizona/Cactus Shadows High School) was another Mustangs ending the night with a double-double having 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Milan Tuttle (Oakland, California/Heritage High School) refusing to let the Warriors snag offensive rebounds, finishing the game with 17 rebounds and 12 points.
Bria Reed (Houston, TX/Clear Creek High School) also ending the night with 11 points shooting 83% from the field.

"We have a tough exhibition game tomorrow and we are looking forward to the opportunity to get better before conference play." Pace expresses going into their next game against Division one, University of New Mexico.
Mustangs will be back in action Tuesday November, 22nd at 7:00 PM against The University of New Mexico at The Pit.Â
