Pomona, CA – Saturday morning the Lady Mustangs finished playing in the Cal Poly Pomona Tournament battling the Wolves of Western Oregon University. The Mustangs would match up against Western Oregon University before being defeated in three sets.

In the first set, WNMU found themselves ahead of the game with a six-point lead, 22-16. The Wolves would not go down without a fight and pulled off the win for the first set 26-24. Sets Two and Three would both not play in favor of the Mustangs as a few team errors would cost the team momentum-changing moments. Both sets would leave the Mustangs defeated at 25-18 as they were unable to finish each set.
"We had a chance to see what many of the new players can do and where we can improve," said
Coach Watts. "I cannot wait to get in the gym, fix a few things, and see what we can do in Oklahoma."
