2022 Season: 
Cortez appeared in 24 games and played in 86 sets. She lead the team in digs with 269, adding 8 aces and 48 assists. Versus Holy Names (8/27) Cortez had a season high of 32 digs.

2021 Season:
Cortez appeared in 25 games and 80 sets. She had 33 kills, 19 assists, 15 service aces, 155 digs, and two blocks. At New Mexico Highlands (9/27) she had a season-high of eight kills... Versus Newman (9/9) she had six assists... Versus Western Oregon (9/4) she had 17 digs

History:
Cortez is a 2021 graduate from Eastlake High School where she played volleyball all four years. During her time at Eastlake, she earned many recognitions including: 2017 Volleyball District 1-4 A Champions, 2017 Volleyball 1-4A Bi-District Champions, 2017 District 1-4A New Comer of the Year, 2018 Volleyball All-District Academics, 2018 Volleyball District 1-4A Champions, 2018 Volleyball 1-4A Bi-District Champions, 2018 1-4A Volleyball Area Champions, 2018 1-4A Outstanding Hitter, 2018-2019 All City Honorable Mention, 2019 2-5A Volleyball Offensive Player of the Year, 2019 2-5A Volleyball Bi-District Champions, and 2020 District 2-6A 1st Team Outside Hitter. 

Personal:
Fun Fact: Cortez was named after both of her grandmothers and her middle name is Rose spelled with a "z". 
Hobbies: watching movies, listening to music, playing with my dog, and hanging out with her family. 
Aspirations: After graduating from WNMU, Cortez has hopes of becoming an athletic trainer or physical therapist
