Women's Tennis Welcomes Van Mierlo

Silver City, NM - Western New Mexico University's Women's Tennis Head Coach, Alex Hunt is excited to announce their first signing for the Fall of 2022. Welcome to the Mustang family, Willemjin Van Mierlo.

"Willemijn brings a lot of excitement to the WNMU Women's Mustang Tennis Team," said Hunt. "She is a stellar student in the classroom, and she is a talented tennis player on top of that."

Native of Amstelveen, Netherlands, Van Mierlo was a Top- 10 Junior National Ranking player and was in the Top-90 for the Women's National Ranking.

"She packs a punch behind every single shot which is vital to success at this level of college tennis. I'm extremely pumped to work with her and to see what all she can accomplish during her time here at WNMU," said Hunt.
