Silver City, NM - Head Women's Tennis Coach, Alex Hunt of the Western New Mexico University's Women's Tennis team has inked in his second signing, Lian Timmermans for the Fall of 2022. 

 "Lian is very athletic, who is adding to our depth on our women's tennis team," said Hunt. "She has a very smooth, fluid game that I think will be solid at any spot in our lineup." 

Timmermans comes to the US from Nederweert, Netherlands, was a Quarterfinalist at the 2019 TEN-PRO Tournament at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy in Mallorca, Spain. She also played many tournaments in Belgium, where she would go on to win multitudes.

Making a name for herself early on in her young career, Timmermans was a District Champion for U16 Junior Age Division. Playing in the 1st Class National Championship Tournament, she placed second.

"I am excited to see what all she can do to help us keep pushing this program forward," said Hunt.
