  • Malik Sanders (Durham, NC/Smithfield-Selma ) put the Mustangs over into double-figures driving and connecting under the basket. • CJ Vanbeekum (Phoenix, AZ/Paradise) grabbed the board, making quick work on the opposite end of the court to put in the Mustangs final basket of the half.
  • Needing to cover a lot of ground in the second half, Elijah Holifield (Atlanta, GA/Pace Academy) started things off with a turnaround jumper for the first WNMU basket.
  • At the 15:00 minute mark, WNMU would score seven unanswered points, six of which came at the hands of Rodney Simon (Boston, MA/Randolph ).
  • Ian Hohenstein (Veracruz, Mexico/Faith Christian Academy) added four of his own to close in on the LCU lead.
  • With 2:30 left to play, Amarion Cash (Phoenix, AZ/Mountain Pointe) pulled down the offensive rebound, while drawing the foul to get two opportunities at the line.
  • Immediately after, Nathan Pelissier (Paris, France /Lycre Albert Camus ) got it done on defense with a steal, sprinting to the basket to cap off the possession with a statement dunk.
  • Off the bench, George Mosialos (Larissa, Greece/Nikos Mpakogiannis) contributed a three.
