The Mustangs came close to earning their first conference and regular season win Friday but came up just short against Metro State, 6-3.

Earning a point for the Mustangs was doubles no. 1 Nikolina Vukadin (Pale, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sredwjoskolski Centar Pale) and Doris Berberic (Lower Hutt, New Zealand, Hutt Valley High School). They walked away with the intense victory, 9-7. Vukadin then was successful in her singles outing with a 6-3 and 6-4 victory.

Senior Emily Lampman (Kerrville, TX, Tivy High School) earned the final WNMU point at no. 3 singles. She nearly skunked Metro's Nikki Amos, 6-0 and 6-1.
