With 10:29 left in the first half, the Mustangs had an 11-point advantage over Adams State, but slowly they saw the lead dwindle as the Grizzlies closed out the half with 30-9 run to go into the locker room ahead by 11 points (45-34). WNMU couldn't chip away at the big turnaround as the Grizzlies posted the win, 103-96.
Three Mustangs had 20-plus points with
TJ Riley (Tyler, TX, Chapel Hill High School, Lamar University) and

Coming off the bench, Sohlich went 6 for 11 from the three-point line. Riley led WNMU on the boards with seven caroms in his 32 minutes of play. In addition, he handed out five assists.

The Mustangs did have the advantage in turnovers, 18-23, but 11 of the 18 Mustang turnovers came in the first half, causing much of the havoc in the final 10 minutes of the first stanza. The 18 total turnovers is the third largest amount of errors this season for WNMU.
