WNMU women's tennis did not have a very good day against Mesa State on Friday. Dropping two out of three doubles matches, the Mustangs earned only two wins in singles to fall, 6-3, to the Mavericks.

Nikolina Vukadin (Pale, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sredwjoskolski Centar Pale) and Doris Berberic (Lower Hutt, New Zealand, Hutt Valley High School) were the only doubles team to come out with a win, 8-5 at the No. 1 spot. Vukadin then handled her opponent at No. 2 singles with a 6-4, 6-3 victory.

Sarah Nogan (Albuquerque, NM, Cibola High School) posted the last Mustang point with a 6-2 and 6-3 victory at No. 6.

“Once again, we didn't play very good doubles, which it hurt us,” says assistant coach Carolina Hannes. “Hopefully tomorrow our doubles team will be able to pull through and play better.” WNMU rounds out RMAC play with Metro State.
