The Mustangs' Kristina Barr (San Diego, CA, La Costa Canyon High School, Central Community College) had been somewhat quiet with the bat coming in Saturday's game against the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs, but she finally found her rhythm. Barr first hit a homerun in the bottom of the seventh of game one to get the victory, 4-3. In game two, she then doubled in the bottom of the sixth to bring in a run and end the game early, 10-2.

Barr finished the day with five hits on eight at-bats. She also had three RBIs.

WNMU evens out their record at 9-9 with Saturday's sweep. They improve their conference record to 5-1. UCCS falls to 4-11 overall and 1-5 in the RMAC.

WNMU pitcher Emily Huhta (Albuquerque, NM, Manzano High School, Lamar Community College) has started her Mustang career with an impressive 5-0 start. She tallied 11 strikeouts in the first game. This is the best performance by a Mustang so far this season.

Arriel Smith (Oakhurst, CA, Yosemite High School) started game two and posted the win. She also is perfect in the circle with a 3-0 record. Hannah Dodson (Alpine, TX, Alpine High School, Odessa College) recorded her first save of the season.
