WNMU Announces Broadcasts

The game times and the television, B2, and radio broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2009 Western New Mexico University football season have now been finalized and announced by Mustang Department of Athletics officials in conjunction with the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and KSCQ The Q 92.9 play-by-play announcer Mike Rowse. 

The Q will again carry all 10 of the Mustangs' games live. Each broadcast will begin with an expanded 20-minute pre-game show to be hosted by Mike Rowse, entering his seventh overall year as the “Voice of the Mustangs.” 

The station, which can be heard at 92.9 FM in Silver City, at 1400 AM in Truth or Consequences, and 99.1 FM in Safford, Arizona. Mustang fans from around the world can also hear the games on the internet at theq929.com. 

The Altitude Sports & Entertainment Network will broadcast the WNMU Mustangs and the Adams State College Grizzlies game on October 3. The games will air live on Altitude 2 and KSPK (Dish Network and DirecTV ch. 682, cable channels are not yet available) with tape-delayed coverage on Altitude's primary channel at 1:00 p.m. on the following day. In addition, this game will be available live on the B2 Networks and some other cable affiliates in the RMAC footprint. The game will be produced by KSPK-TV in Walsenburg, Colorado. 

A majority of RMAC football games, including all of the WNMU games except at Mesa State, will be available live via the B2 Network. Also most volleyball and men's and women's basketball games will be broadcast live via the internet on B2.
