A day earlier WNMU took two from the Chadron State Eagles, but the Mustangs couldn't repeat that day as the Eagles soared to a 10-1, 7-6 victory on Sunday. The Mustangs are now 2-2 in RMAC play and 4-8 overall. 

In the first game, the Mustangs scored first. Kristina Barr (San Diego, CA, La Costa Canyon High School, Central Community College) homered over the left field wall, but the lead didn't last long. The Eagles answered back with a homerun of their own. CSC then broke the game open in the bottom of the third by scoring six runs. In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Eagles added three more runs call the game after five innings of play. 

In the second game, WNMU led 2-0 in the top of the third. The Mustangs recorded three straight singles to bring in two runners. The Eagles then took the one run advantage after a costly infield error brought in two runs and another runner came in thanks to a single. 

The Eagles added two more tallies in the bottom of the fourth when CSC led off with a single and then homered over the centerfield wall. 

The Eagles also added two runs in the fifth to bring the score to 7-2. The Mustangs didn't go away, though, and scored one run in the sixth and three in the seventh. However, WNMU struck out on their final batter. 

Kortney Smith (Maricopa, AZ, Marana High School, Central Arizona Community College) led all batters with three hits on the day. Brittney Batten (Benson, AZ, Benson High School), Lacey Swihart (Tucson, AZ, Ironwood Ridge High School), and Courtney Reyes (Alamogordo, NM, Alamogordo High School) each posted two hits.
