Wetton's final round 66 was the best round of any of the 104 golfers in the field on Tuesday and was tied for the lowest round during the tournament as BYU-Hawaii's Jacob Godfrey fired a 66 during the first round. Wetton finished with rounds of 71-73-66 for a 210 to tie for fifth, just four-strokes off the lead at the Mustang Intercollegiate. His marks also set new season-bests for him as his low round 66 beats his previous of 69 and his 54-hole score of 210 is nine better than his previous high. His low round 66 sets a new career-best, breaking the previous mark of 67 that happened in both his freshman and sophomore years. With the round he put together, he sunk eight birdies, with five coming on the front nine in which he hit a stretch of three straight. He also added nine pars. He tallied 15 birdies during the tournament and led the team in par-three scoring average at 3.25.
