Junior Audra Major (Socorro, NM) was named this week’s West Division RMAC Player of the Week. Major led Western New Mexico to their first win of the season in their season and home opening game Saturday night against Grand Canyon University. She recorded the only double-double of the game with 25 points and 18 caroms. She scored 17 of those points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the first half. As a team, the Mustangs shot 45.2 percent from the floor. Major made 9 of 13 and 7 of 9 free throws.
