Newsome powered the Lady Mustangs both on offense and defense over the weekend. In the game against Chadron State she led the team in points (19), assists (7), steals (4) and field goals made (7), while playing 34 minutes. For the week she averaged 13.5 points, 6.5 assists, and four steals. She made nine field goals, three 3-pointers and went 6-of-8 from the free throw line and averaged 33.5 minutes per night.
