The Mustangs improved their home court record to 8-1 last weekend. TJ Riley (Tyler, TX, Chapel Hill High School, Lamar University) recorded the assist to Justin Williams in Thursday’s buzzer-beater win at home against Western State. In Saturday’s win against nationally-ranked No. 9 Mesa State, Riley posted his first double-double of the season (33 points, 12 rebounds). He was 11 for 22 from the floor (5 of 12 treys). In the two home wins, he averaged 25.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and two steals while netting .439 from the floor (18-41) and .357 from long range (5-14).
