Freshman Jamie McKenna (Carlsbad, NM) was perfect in singles last week. In the no. 6 spot, McKenna defeated Abilene Christian’s Helga Sierra on Thursday (6-1, 6-0). She then steamrolled over the University of Hawaii at Hilo’s Iwado (6-3, 6-1) on Friday.  On the Mustangs final day of competition in Glendale, Arizona, McKenna played in the no. 5 spot and defeated Hilo’s Decleene 6-2, 6-2. The Carlsbad-native is now 3-2 in collegiate play this spring.
