William McCall begins his first season with the Lady Mustangs in 2017 as the assistant coach.
During his playing career, McCall spent four years playing for Lewis University. He compiled 86 kills, 15 assists, seven service aces, 83 digs and 19 blocks in competing in 88 sets. He put together a strong senior campaign with 50 kills, 10 assists, four service aces, 60 digs and 12 blocks.
In his final season in 2016, Coach McCall and the Flyers nearly defeated Ohio State in the MIVA Tournament to end the season falling in five sets.Â
It was an even better campaign his junior year in 2015 as they rolled up 27 wins including a spot in the NCAA Championships where they bested Penn State before falling to Loyola in a five-set match.
The win over Penn State was a redemption of sorts for Lewis as during the 2014 season, McCall and the Flyers won over 20 matches again and fell to Penn State in the first round of the NCAA Championships.
The first of three-straight 20 win seasons started in 2013 as they won 20 matches and made it to the second round of the MIVA Tournament.
