Steven Flowers recently completed his first season as a member of the Mustang volleyball staff in 2015, as he also works alongsideĀ his wife, Lauren.

Steven helped guide the Lady Mustangs to a very succesful 2015 campaign that had WNMU flirting with the top spot in the RMAC and nearly earning an NCAA Regional selection. The team collected 19 victories, 14 in the RMAC and had four players (Leeta Grap, Shannon Rich, Heather Verrill and Ashley Mataele) garner all All-RMAC accolades. The team did even better than that in the classroom, posting a conference-high 11 on the All-RMAC Academic list.

Steven participated at Valley Christian High School in San Jose, Calif., where he was a multi-sport athlete who won the Athletic Service Award and Athlete of the Month honors. After playing in high school he was a member of the Azusa Pacific University Sports Information Office where he helped keep official stats for the Cougars volleyball team.

Steven has spent time coaching at Huntington Christian School that saw the boy’s team take first place in their region. Last year he added additional coaching duties as he led the Oklahoma Peak Performance for club.

Ā

He graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a Bachelor’s in Sport, Wellness, and Recreational Management. In his free time he likes to attend sporting events and write parody song remixes.
