High School: Gin played at Tucson High Magnet in Tucson and in addition to her strong playing career, excelled in the classroom with a 4.00 GPA. The 5-foot-2 setter played all four years on varsity tallying 342 sets, 2,871 assists, 265 aces, 494 digs and 64 kills during her career. She earned several honors including Arizona Daily Star Fall Sports High School All-Stars Second-Team in 2014 and 2015, Southern Arizona Volleyball All-Stars Second-Team in 2014 and 2015, AIA All-Division II Second-Team in 2014-2015, AIA All-Division II All-Section First-Team in 2013-2014, 2014-2015, Arizona Daily Star Fall Sports High School All-Stars Division II First-Team in 2014, AIA All-S Division II Section First-Team in 2013-2014, Arizona Daily Star Fall Sports High School All-Stars Second-Team in 2013, Most Valuable Player award in 2014 and was Rookie of the Year in 2013. Her academic honors were strong that included Badger Foundation Award both sophomore and junior year (selection based on faculty and staff nominations), President's Education Award in 2014, TSUD Asian Pacific American Student Services Academic Award in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and honor roll in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

WNMU (2016): Gin split time with Melanie Hughes and Cristal Carrizoza during her first season with the Lady Mustangs as the trio all played setter. She saw action in 24 matches and a total of 46 sets tallying 185 assists, eight service aces and 44 digs. Gin went for a season-high in assists with 22 against St. Edward's and had two matches with at least 20 assists. She posted double-digit assists on 10 occassions. In terms of digs she added seven versus Texas A&M-International.
