Biography
2022-23: Medina will run the 800m for the Mustangs
History:
Medina is a 2022 graduate from Americas High School, running cross country and track and field, as well as competing in swimming. She placed many records and earned many awards throughout her career. In cross country, she was a 2018 cross country regional qualifier. In Track and Field 2021 and 2022, an area and regional qualifier, she ended up as the second fastest 800-meter runner in school history and the 3rd fastest 800-meter runner in El Paso for 2022. She swam every year from 2019 to 2022, a regional qualifier.
WNMU Career
In cross-country, Medina has posted a 20:39.4 in the 5K and a 25:31.1 in the 6K, reflecting consistency and resilience. Medina was also part of the women’s cross-country team as they secured 11th place at the LSC XC Championships.

Hobbies and Future Aspirations:
Hobbies: Listening to music, playing the violin, reading, and traveling. Medina aspires to become a certified nurse practitioner and work at a hospital
Fun Fact:
Medina has worked for the City of El Paso as a certified lifeguard since she was 15
