Biography
WNMU (2016-17): Benning saw action in 26 games, starting seven. She averaged 16.8 minutes per game, made 31 percent from the field, while scoring 40 points and pulling down 50 rebounds. She also added six blocks and six steals. Benning scored a season-high nine points at West Texas A&M in which she went 3-5 from three-point range. She pulled down six rebounds versus Cameron.
WNMU (2015-16): Redshirt season. She was named to the All-RMAC Academic Team.
WNMU (2014-15): Benning played 10 minutes versus the University of the Southwest tallying six points, an assists and three rebounds.
High School: Benning, a 5-foot-10 guard from El Paso High School, averaged 14.5 points per game as a senior and connected on 74 percent of her free throws and was named to the All-Tournament Team (Loretto Tournament). During her junior season, she averaged 10.1 points per game, tallied 245 total points for the season, while also shooting well from the line hitting at a 70 percent clip. She was named to the Second-Team All-District and was the MVP of the Santa Teresa Tournament.
