Western New Mexico University Athletics

Keylon Dorsey is a senior from Houston, Texas, majoring in Kinesiology. He attended New Mexico State University and New Mexico Junior College before joining the Western New Mexico University men’s basketball program. A multi-sport athlete in high school, Dorsey competed in basketball, football, track and field, and baseball. On the basketball court, he earned All-State honors, was named TABC Player of the Year in 2022, and received First Team All-District honors in 2021, 2022, and 2023. He was also named Newcomer of the Year in District 14-6A in 2021.

Outside of basketball, Dorsey enjoys drawing, listening to music, and working out. Following graduation from WNMU, he hopes to pursue a career focused on social justice for the Black community while giving back to Houston, a community he credits with playing an important role in his journey. Dorsey is passionate about making a positive impact and using his experiences to help others.
