Placencia is in her first year as an assistant to Coach Kennedy.
Placencia transferred to WNMU from Glendale CC where she played two years and received an Associate’s Degree. At the conclusion of her time at Glendale CC, she ranked in the top-10 for three-point shooting percentage in division two schools for NJCAA, while also receiving the Superior Academic Achievement Award.
She gained some valuable coaching experience after playing at Glendale CC as the head coach of the junior varsity team at Cienega High School, leading the team to an undefeated season.
During her playing career in high school she was the three-point shootout champion, First-Team All-Star, First-Team All-Region, and Second-Team All Southern AZ. In addition she holds top-10 4A Arizona Girls Basketball records for three-point shots made in career and three-point shots made in season and records for three-pointers made in season and in a single game.
