WNMU (2017): Gastelum fought through injuries during the 2017 season that limited her to just 15 games and 14 starts behind the plate. She compiled a .378 batting average, two runs scored, 14 hits and three RBI. Her average was the tops on the team. She posted three hits against Texas Woman’s and had a two-RBI game against Embry Riddle. Gastelum had hits in nine of the games she played in. Gastelum was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll two semesters.

WNMU (2016): Gastelum saw time behind the plate as a true freshman logging 48 games, starting in 45. She tallied a .218 batting average, a home run, 15 RBI, three doubles, 26 hits and 15 runs scored. She also walked 10 times and tallied a steal. She tallied a high in hits with two against four teams (Concordia-Irvine, Chadron State, New Mexico Highlands and Fort Lewis). Her high in RBI with two happened three times (Oklahoma Panhandle and New Mexico highlands (twice). Gastelum had four multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games. She had a three-game hitting streak at one point during the season.

High School: She played at Pinnacle High where she was named to the 2014-15 Division I Section I All-Section First-Team as a catcher. She tallied the Blue and White Award in 2013 and 2015. She played club ball for the Arizona Storm Gold Brun.
