Shyenne Hussey

Head Coach Elsa Crocker announced the addition of Assistant softball coach Sheyenne Hussey for the 2019 season. Hussey, is a 2011 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Minor in correctional and Juvenile Justice.

Coach Hussey will bring the competitive defensive and offensive edge to the Mustang softball program. In her four years as a Colonel she has earned numerous awards and led the Colonels in five offensive categories, Batting average, slugging percentage, Base on Balls and Hit by pitch. As a freshman she has earned OVC second team & all new comer Honors, led conference in 8 offensive categories, as a sophomore she has earned First Team & All-tournament team honors and led the Colonels in 9 offensive categories & was ranked second in the Ohio Valley Conference for runs batted in. In Hussey’s junior campaign she earned first team OVC honors, led the Colonels in 8 offensive categories. In her final season Hussey earned OVC second team honors and led the Colonels in five offensive categories.

Sheyenne Hussey will be inducted into the Eastern Kentucky University Athletics Hall of fame.

Hussey, served as the volunteer assistant coach for the Richmond, KY Special Olympics and has worked closely with Kelley Anderson and the Kentucky Classic softball travel team in which she was responsible for assessing skills and developing student athletes.
