Prior to WNMU

Gainey attended Phoenix College from 2022-2024 before joining the Mustangs. At Phoenix College, Gainey earned All-Academic Team her first and second year. 

2024 Season:
Gainey appeared in 51 games for the Bears. Gainey received 80 at bats, and earned 28 runs, 25 hits, nine RBIs, seven walks, and 25 stolen bases. On defense, Gainey had 47 putouts. 

2023 Season:
Gainey appeared in 37 games for the Bears. Gainey received 12 at bats, and earned 16 runs, five hits, one double, one triple, two walks, and seven stolen bases. On defense, Gainey had 12 putouts.

High School:
Gainey graduated from Red Mountain High School in 2022. At RMHS, Gainey was a part of the softball program where she earned 2nd team her senior year, Honor Roll, and was a part of the National Honor Society. 

Personal:
Gainey was born on September 3rd, in Layton, Utah. She is the middle child with two siblings. Gainey hopes to travel and visit all 50 states. In her spare time, Gainey enjoys hiking, baking, and paddle boarding. After WNMU, she aspires to work in the sports business specifically for professional NBA, WNBA, NFL, etc.
