Biography
High School:
Rios graduated from Centennial High School in 2022. Rios was a three-sport athlete playing basketball, cross country, and track and field.
Awards:
2021-2022 All Harrier Team, 2021 & 2022 All District 3-5A Cross Country, 2021 Centennial Runner of the Year, 2021 Hawks Outstanding Distance Runner, 2021 Hawks Outstanding Cross-Country Runner, 2021-2022 Leading Rebounder in Basketball, 2022 Track & Field Class 5A 5th Place 3200 Meter Relay State Championships, 2021 Varsity Boys Basketball Assist Leader, 2022 Distance Runner of the Year, 2022 800-meter 3-5A District Champion, 2022 District 3-5A Honorable Mention Boys’ Basketball.
WNMU Career
In cross country, Rios has posted a 17:43.3 in the 5K, along with a 27:48.1 in the 8K and a 38:32.9 in the 10K. Rios was a member of the XC team that finished in third place at the 2024 LSC XC Championship, and a member of the team that finished in third place out of 41 teams at the Old Glory Gallop at DBU held on October 5.
Personal:
Rios is a first-generation born in the U.S. In his spare time, he enjoys music, basketball, hiking, camping, and fishing.
After WNMU, Rios is planning on going to veterinarian school.
