High School:
Shorty graduated from Atrisco Heritage Academy High School in 2023. At AHAHS, Shorty participated on the cross country and track team. He was awarded Student-Athlete of the Year, Three Time Cross Country Qualifier, APS Native American Sash and Seal Recipiant, Gene Franchini High School Mock Trial State Champion & National Qualifier, Three Time UNM-PNM Math Contest Finalist, and  Atrisco Heritage Academy High School Math Academy Award and Law Academy Award.

WNMU Career:
In cross-country meets, Shorty has delivered consistent results with a 25:52.6 in the 8K and a 33:31.9 in the 10K, demonstrating adaptability across varied terrain and extended race formats. Shorty was also a member of the XC team that finished in third place at the 2024 LSC XC Championship. And also a member of the team that finished in third place out of 41 teams at the Old Glory Gallop at DBU held on October 5.


Personal:
Shorty is Bit'ahnii, which is his mother's clan and is what ties them together no matter the distance between them. In his spare time, Shorty enjoys illustration, sewing, and video games. 

After WNMU, Shorty aspires to improve his Navajo community by returning the support they have given him.
