Alexander Cano is a freshman on the cross country team from San Elizario, Texas. Before attending Western New Mexico, he went to high school at San Elizario High School where he participated in both cross country and track and field. While in high school, Alexander was a regional qualifier in 2025 and 2026 in track in the 800m event, while in cross country his team was a state qualifier in 2023 and 2025, was regional medalists in 2023 and 2025, as well as district champions in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Outside of cross country and track and field, Alexander enjoys soccer, cooking, playing video games, and binge watching shows. At WNMU, he is majoring in nursing, where he aspires to become a Certified RN, and be successful in everything he does.
