Western New Mexico University Athletics

The Freshman is native of Fountain, Colorado, Keyshawn Maltbia was a two sport athlete, playing his high school ball and running track at Fountain-Fort Carson High School.

Before WNMU:
At Fountain-Fort Carson High School, Maltbia was a four-year varsity letterman. His senior year he played in 25 games, averaging 17.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.2 steals. In his high school career, he scored over 1,200 points, earned All-State honors, Academic All-State honors, was a three-time Team MVP, and was in the Top-20 high school basketball players in Colorado.

Personal:
Keyshawn is studying to get his business degree, where he has aspirations to gom nto the field if he does not play professional ball. In his spare time, he likes to hang out with friends and play video games. Maltbia is involved with community service as he is a part of Teacher Cadet.
