Western New Mexico University Athletics

Dekwon Brown is a junior from Peoria, Illinois, majoring in Psychology. He earned his Associate of Arts degree before continuing his basketball career at Western New Mexico University. Brown attended Peoria High School, Limestone Community High School, Simeon High School, and Skyline Prep High School before playing collegiately at Seward County Community College, Ranger College, and Kilgore College. After spending one season at Kilgore College, Brown joined the Mustangs and looks to continue developing on the court while pursuing opportunities to play professionally after graduation.

Outside of basketball, Brown enjoys bowling, darts, pool, and mini golf. His faith is also an important part of his life, as he describes himself as a child of God. Brown hopes to use his time at WNMU to continue growing both on and off the court while working toward his goal of pursuing professional basketball opportunities.
