Troy Cooke

Troy Cooke begins his fifth year as a Mustang Assistant Coach in 2018-19.

Prior to coming to WNMU, Cooke was a successful High School Basketball coach in Show Low, AZ.  He took over a program that had 10 straight losing seasons and turned it around to one of the top programs in their division, leading the team to back-to-back 20-plus win seasons and state tournament appearances, an elite eight in 2013, a final four in 2014, and a sectional championship in 2014.


Cooke played college basketball at the University of Arizona for legendary hall of fame coach Lute Olson.  Prior to accepting a scholarship at the University of Arizona, Cooke played for El Camino College in Torrance, CA, where he helped lead his team to the State JUCO Championship with a 32-4 record.  After playing at the University of Arizona, he went on to play professional basketball in Europe for two seasons. 

Cooke earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona and a Master's degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University at Irvine.


Coach Cooke is married to Elaine Cooke.  They have three children: Canyon, Cougar, and Cieneca.
