Omar Nasir enters his first season as the men’s basketball graduate assistant coach for the 2015 season.
Nasir played on Diamond Bar High School’s varsity basketball team for four years and continued to play for Pasadena City College’s basketball team as he started his college career. From PCC Omar transferred to USC, where he graduated from in the spring of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration awarded by the Marshall School of Business.
Omar’s career as a basketball coach started in 2012 when he became a part of his former high school’s basketball program, contributing a fresh perspective and useful coaching strategies to both the Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball teams. He spent two years as Diamond Bar High School’s JV Head Coach and all four years as the Varsity team’s Assistant Coach. After his four years coaching high school basketball, Omar was able to expose himself to the ins and outs of college basketball at USC, his Alma Mater, where he was the student manager under Coach Andy Enfield for one year.
