Julien comes to the Mustangs after one year at Illinois College in Jacksonville, Ill. as an assistant coach. In his one year with the Blueboys, he helped take Illinois College to their first regular season Midwest Conference Championship, set the program record of (25-3) wins, and a bid to the NCAA D3 National Tournament. Julien's main duties included player development and was the program's recruiting coordinator.
Prior to Illinois College Julien was the Director of All Iowa Attack in Coralville, Iowa. He was responsible for coordinating practices for young athletes between grades 3-11, assisted in scheduling tournaments and monitored programs hosted by the program.
He has also made coaching stops at Scottsdale Community College (Under Bunker) and at Solon High School. Julien would also make a stop at Louisiana Tech as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
Julien played collegiately at Mount Mercy until 2018 where he was part of an independent Conference championship during the 2015-16 season, including a National Championship Tournament appearance. He would graduate from Mount Mercy in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management in 2018.
