High School: He was named the El Paso Times and District 1-5A Player of the Year as a senior. Also collected recognition of being the T.A.B.C. Region I All-Tournament Team as a senior and J.M. Hanks Offensive Player of the Year three years. His team was the District Champions in 2011-12 and his team reached the Sweet 16 Texas Playoffs in 2011-12. Was named to the All-Academic Team as a junior.
