Biography
WNMU (2016-17): Alvarez played as a true freshman averaging 4.6 points and 1.5 rebounds, while making a team-high 34 three-pointers. He also added 38 field goals, 12 assists, five blocks and eight steals in playing in all 26 games. Alvarez scored a career-high 13 points versus Benedictine-Mesa in which he made three three-pointers. He had two more games during the season in which he scored 12 points each. He pulled down a season-high six rebounds against West Texas A&M and tallied two steals versus Angelo State.
High School: Alvarez, from Madrid, Spain, is a 6-foot-4, 176 pound forward that can shoot. He averaged 10 points and shot over 40 percent from the field while playing for Xperia Zentro San Jorge in Madrid. During the 2014-15 season he suited up for the Canarias Basketball Academy. Some of his accolades include finishing first at several tournaments (II Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation Tournament with Real Madrid in 2012, U16 Madrid Championships with Real Madrid in 2013 and U18 Canarias Regional Championship with CBA in 2015).
