Utilized Redshirt Season

High School:
Johnson was named the Gatorade Football Player of the Year in Alaska, the Max Preps Alaska Football Player of the Year and a two-time Football State Champion. He threw for 2,103 yards 25 touchdowns and ran in 10 scores of his own for the Thunderbirds.
Johnson also won a State Championship as a member of the Thunderbirds basketball team.
