Western New Mexico University Athletics

Kohen Matus is a redshirt sophomore football player from Clovis, New Mexico. He attended Clovis High School before continuing his collegiate career at West Texas A&M. During high school, Matus competed in football, basketball, powerlifting, and track and field. He earned All-District honors as a linebacker and tight end and was voted his team’s Defensive Player of the Year as a senior. Kohen is currently studying Business and Marketing at Western New Mexico University.

Outside of football, he enjoys golf, pickleball, basketball, hiking, and spending time outdoors. He is very close with his family and enjoys golfing, grilling, and spending time together. He also has a passion for motocross and previously competed in racing. After graduating from WNMU, Matus hopes to work in a management position for a large company.
