High School: Posted 77 total tackles, 54 solo, four sacks, one forced fumble and four quarterback hurries as a senior. He was named the All-District Defensive MVP, All-Region DT First-Team selection, greater El Paso All-Star selection, First-Team All-District DT, All-Defensive Team and First-Team All-City.

WNMU (2014): Redshirt season.

WNMU (2015): Rodriguez saw action in three games, posting five total tackles and a half tackle for loss. He had three tackles against Arizona Christian.
