Kini Cocker enters his fourth season on the WNMU coaching staff. Being here since 2017, Cocker takes over the duties of the Defensive Line.
He brings familiarity with the Lone Star Conference having played at Angelo State.
Originally born in Tonga, Coach Cocker was raised in Texas as he attended Euless Trinity where he graduated in 2009. The team had lots of success during his career there including two state championships, four district titles and were ranked No. 1 in the nation.
He began his college playing career at Kilgore College where he earned All-Conference honors as a tackle. Coach Cocker then transferred to Angelo State where he played the final two years of his career helping the Rams to the 2014 LSC Championship.
After his college football playing career wrapped up, he moved over to playing college rugby for two seasons. He helped lead his teams to two undefeated conference regular seasons, a State Rugby Championship, 2015 Bleeding Heart recipient and two-time All-Star forward/prop selection (technically the same thing as being named All-Conference).
Coach Cocker is married to current WNMU Softball Head Coach Elsa Cocker.
