Coach German Romero-Rosales enters his first season on the WNMU coaching staff in 2017 as he moves from student-athlete to coach. He will be in charge of the tight ends, while assisting with the offensive line.
German Romero-Rosales became a big force along the offensive line as a senior in 2016 as he started the final nine games of the season at center and helped the offense average 26.5 points and 407.9 yards per game and 36 total touchdowns, with 25 coming through the air. The Mustangs ranked fourth in the conference in first downs (234), third and 28th nationally in passing yards per game (290) and fifth in the conference in total offense (407).
During his junior year in 2015 he saw action in six games and helped the offense to 1,497 yards rushing and 20 touchdowns. Through the air the Mustangs passed for 3,897 yards and 26 touchdowns.
Coach Romero-Rosales started his collegiate playing career at San Diego Mesa after having never played varsity football throughout his high school career.
