Beau Grech

Coach Beau Grech enters his 3rd season as the Mustangs Defensive Coordinator.

Grech came to WNMU after Head Coach Frank Tristan was hired in 2018. Grech has coached under Coach Tristan at Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU)  and Hillcrest High School.

“Beau is a passionate coach and full of energy. He loves his players and it becomes contagious!” said Tristan.

Originally from Naples, Florida, Grech played at Evangel, graduating in 2010 with a degree in Physical Education. At Evangel, Grech had 235 career tackles, was 2008 All-Conference HAAC Linebacker, 2009 All-HAAC Honorable mention, 3-year starter and 4-year letterman (2005-2010), and 2009-2010 Team Captain.

In his time as a coach, he has coached in the 2015 and 2017 NCCAA Victory Bowl going 8-3 in both years. Hw also coached three All-Conference Defensive Backs (21ints), and coached a NAIA 2nd Team All-American Cornerback, Carl Morgan. In 2016 and 2017, Grech coached two All-Conference Defensive Backs totaling 14 interceptions both years.

Looking forward to the 2020-21 season, Coach Grech explains, “We were much more competitive in 2019 versus 2018. I look forward to carrying that momentum going into the spring 2021. We have a lot of young players with experience and leadership. Our players are focused and ready for more success.”

Coach Grech is actively helping out Harvest Church in Silver City, where he teaches Sunday School. Grech is married to his wife Jordan, where they have two daughters McKay and Quinn.
